Fiji Adult-Only Itinerary: 7 Days / One Week (Island-Hopping)

Day 1 – Nadi International Airport to Denarau Island

Travel Time: 20 minutes

Welcome to Fiji! A great place to get over the flight and start getting into “Fiji time” is on Denarau Island. Just 20 minutes from the airport and connected to the mainland, it’s one of Fiji’s most luxurious hubs. The manmade island has a collection of five-star resorts (resort-hopping is a must), most of which have exclusive adult-only areas with an adult-only swimming pool, bar and a restaurant. On top of that, Denarau Island has no lack of spas, gyms and yoga classes to enjoy away from any sound of overenthusiastic children. Adult-Only Experiences on Denarau Island

• Relax in a pool with a swim-up bar in one of the Denarau’s adult-only complexes
• Get into your workout undisturbed at one of the many Denarau fitness centres
• Get out on the water with a private fishing charter

Day 2 – Denarau Island to the Mamanuca Islands

Travel time: 35-45 minutes

It’s time to leave the little bubble of Denarau Island and make your way to see some of those famous islands scattered across the Fiji archipelago. Catch a catamaran ferry from Port Denarau to your chosen Mamanuca Islands’ adult-only resort (see below). Secluded on an island with only a handful of other guests, the adult-only resorts in the Mamanuca Islands are sure to provide the tranquillity you’re searching for. Day 3 – Mamanuca Islands

You have a couple of days to do as much (or as little) as you want on the Mamanuca Islands, whether it’s discovering the amazing coral gardens in a scuba diving trip or hitting one of the famous surf breaks of the area. Day 4 – Mamanuca Islands

This is your final day to indulge in that Fijian spa treatment, hit the waters on a sports fishing charter, or perhaps take a boat out to the Cloud 9 floating pizza bar. Although the bar isn’t “adult-only”, adults are its main clientele. Day 5 – Mamanuca Islands to the Yasawa Islands

Travel time: 1h15min-3h45min

This morning, enjoy a scenic catamaran cruise on the Yasawa Flyer to your chosen adult-only resort in the remote Yasawa Islands – or you could get a Bula Pass (on Viator and Tripadvisor) and stay in a different adult-only resort each night if you feel inclined. It’s a different pace of life in the Yasawas, where the adult-only resorts are boutique enhancing the serenity of an adult-only holiday. The island group is also home to a range of stunning natural attractions, such as the Blue Lagoon, the Sawa-i-Lau Caves, volcanic islands and vibrant coral reefs.

Day 6 – Yasawa Islands

You’ll be glad to spend an extra day on the soft sandy shores of the Yasawa Islands. The island group is not a place you’ll want to leave too hastily when there’s snorkelling with manta rays to do, private island picnics to indulge in, and the Fijian culture to immerse in. For instance, your resort will be able to organise a kava ceremony, a village visit or maybe even a traditional feast called a “lovo”.

Day 7 – Yasawa Islands to Nadi

Travel time: 35 minutes

It might be your last day in Fiji but make sure you leave in style. Enjoy an intimate transfer flight back to Nadi with Pacific Islands Air, Island Hoppers Fiji or Turtle Airways. These breathtaking helicopter or seaplane flights soar over the Yasawa and the Mamanuca Islands giving you a brand new perspective from above.
