Cheap Accommodation in Kadavu

Admittedly, Fiji’s fourth largest island does not have a huge offering for backpackers and budget travellers. Student groups like Tamarillo Active Travel and the multi-day kayaking tour with Astrolabe Reef Outrigger Adventures both have exclusive cheap accommodations camping and staying in villages. But if you’re organising your own stay in Kadavu, you have a few inexpensive BnBs and homestays in Vunisea for under FJ$100 per night. However, we have also made sure to list a few of the cheapest resort options, bearing in mind that they come with a wealth of inclusions to help justify the cost. Expect the cheapest accommodation rates at these resorts to be around FJ$300 per person per night. Check them out in this list of budget accommodation in Kadavu.

While you’re here, get more advice in The Guide to Kadavu on a Budget.

1. Navutovuto Accommodation

Just a three-minute walk from Vunisea Dock and 10 minutes from Vunisea Beach, Navutovuto Accommodation makes for some affordable and convenient accommodation when arriving on Kadavu. Private queen rooms and the slightly more affordable twin rooms are simple but do the job for your first or last night on Kadavu. All rates include breakfast, while there is a kitchen and a lounge available in this guesthouse style accommodation.

For instance, Matana Beach Resort offers some of your cheapest resort prices on the islands with prices depending on room occupancy (it’s cheaper per person for four people in a quad room than one person in a single room). The resort is Kadavu’s longest-running, offering 10 bures (bungalows) for solo travellers up to families across two bedrooms.
