2. Lawaki Beach House
Find your little piece of budget paradise at the Lawaki Beach House on Beqa Island. Choose between staying in one of the private beach bures with either a double bed, two singles or a double with one single and one bunk for families. On top of that, Lawaki has a dormitory, as well as tent sites to make more of a saving. The accommodation offers a meal plan of Fijian and Mediterranean dishes so being fed on the island is easy. With all the basics out of the way, you’ll be able to enjoy your time here snorkelling off the beach, fishing, star-gazing, mountain trekking and enjoy the effortless Fijian culture around you. 3. Tsulu Backpackers & Apartments
A backpacker hostel with a whole lot of character, the Tsulu Backpackers is located at the Pacific Harbour’s Arts Village! The Arts Village is famous for its cultural shows, which is a must-see during your stay. Otherwise, you have a cannibal-themed swimming pool and bar to enjoy with your fellow backpackers. The accommodation is a choice of dormitories and four apartments. Some of the apartments have multiple rooms and a kitchen, where you can either hire out the entire apartment or share the apartment with other guests.
4. Navua Upriver Lodge
Escape from it all and get a genuine Fijian experience at the Navua Upriver Lodge. The Fijian-run lodge is located around 25km (15.5 miles) up the Navua River from Navua town where getting to the lodge is all part of the adventure via bilibili raft organised by the lodge. The lodge has bunks and double rooms in a basic hut with cooking utensils (but you will need to bring your own food). While simply relaxing or taking bush walks is a great way to spend your time in this stunning wilderness retreat, other activities include fishing, hunting and visits to the local village. 5. Coral Coast Christian Centre
That’s right, this Christian Camp on the outskirts of town provides basic lodging for budget travellers. The accommodation will definitely do the trick offering budget single, twin, double and family rooms which are clean and comfortable. Some rooms are in motel-style cabins with kitchen facilities. As it is a Christian camp, there are a few rules, such as an alcohol ban, which are best to inquire about.
