Where to Find Vegan and Vegetarian Food in Suva
Travelling as a vegetarian or a vegan can often be a frustrating thing, but not in Suva. Thanks to the large Indo-Fijian population, where many choose to not eat meat, vegetarian restaurants are pretty abundant in Suva. Even in restaurants that serve meat, there will be something for non-meat eaters on the menu. Unsurprisingly, curry houses make up the vast majority of vegetarian restaurants in Suva, but a few hidden gems are serving other styles of food well worth seeking out. 1. Govinda Vegetarian Restaurant
Govinda is the first of many Indian restaurants we have on this list, with plenty of curry houses serving exclusively vegetarian food in Suva. All of their curries are vegetarian, taste authentically Indian and they also have an amazing range of desserts. There are some vegan-friendly options too, so just ask. After a bit of sightseeing around the city, stop by the Hare Krishna Vegetarian Restaurant for lunch. The restaurant is near the Sacred Heart Cathedral and serves an ever-changing menu of Indian curries. The food is cheap and all vegetarian (you will have to ask about their latest vegan options).

If you want a break from Indian food, then try the Veggie Restaurant. This Chinese vegetarian cafe serves up an excellent selection of dumplings, noodles, rice, tofu, quinoa burgers, hummus and much more! They do Italian dishes too. Veggie Restaurant is also a good option for vegans.

Although not exclusively vegetarian, Eden Bar & Bistro has some great vegetarian and vegan options on its extensive menu. The up-scale restaurant provides an excellent sit-down dining experience in Suva serving a range of Asian dishes, as well as Western-style foods like pizzas and burgers.
