Travelling as a vegan or vegetarian can be pretty difficult in some countries, but not Fiji! Thanks to the islands’ multi-cultural population, restaurants and cafes try to cater to a wide range of diets. Finding a restaurant serving vegetarian food is very easy in Nadi, however, vegetarian-exclusive restaurants are not a thing in Nadi as of yet, but more and more eateries are being mindful of this life choice and have menus to reflect that. As for vegan options, the choice is more limited but the vegetarian-friendly restaurants, like the ones listed below, are known to be able to cater to you should you let them know what you don’t eat. 1. Travellers Beach Cafe

Located along Wailoaloa Beach, you’ll get your dose of beach time in Fiji as well as great vegetarian food at the Travellers Beach Cafe, also known as the Bamboo Cafe. The cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with highlights on the menu being spicy dahl, cassava and coconut wedges, vegetarian wraps, vegetarian pizza and vegetarian thali. 2. Sentai Seafood Restaurant

Vegetarians will not feel short-changed when it comes to choice at the Sentai Seafood Restaurant. The Chinese restaurant has about half of its menu with vegetarian and vegan options, including chow meins, fried rice, tofu dishes and much more! 3. Ecocafe

As the name suggests, Ecocafe does try to provide some eco-friendly vegetarian and vegan options to their customers. The cafe is most famous for its pizzas cooked in a traditional pizza oven, where you’ll find several amazing vegetarian pizzas included in the menu. There are also veggie options on their focaccia, panini and salad menus!

4. Bulaccino

Bulaccino brings Fiji-made coffee and European-style cafes together, meaning you’ll also find your fair share of veggie options. They have sweet treats to cater to all kinds of diets with their gluten-free citrus and almond cake, raw ball and a vegan muesli bar. 5. Mumbai Dhaba

With an extensive range of Indian and Chinese vegetarian meals on the menu, vegetarians will really feel like they get a choice at Mumbai Dhaba. The restaurant offers a dine-in experience and street food, making many of their meals irresistibly cheap!
