Denarau Helicopter Tours

As one of the biggest tourist hubs in Fiji, Denarau Island is the most popular place to catch a helicopter tour over the Fijian islands. There are several operators with flights departing from Denarau for scenic flights over the Mamanuca Islands, as well as over the rugged interior of Viti Levu.

Denarau Helicopter Flights Over Denarau Island

One of your most affordable flights in Denarau is short flights over Denarau Island. Flights last approximately seven minutes – but don’t let that put you off. You’ll be surprised how much you will see from the sky.

Denarau Island flights not only give you a chance to see the luxurious array of Denarau’s five-star resorts from above, but clear days bring views all the way from the sandy-beached islands scattered in the Mamanuca Group all the way to Mt Evans in the heart of Fiji’s main island, Viti Levu.

If this is your first helicopter flight, or you want to do a heli flight on a budget, then Denarau Island helicopter flights are for you.

Check out the Denarau Heli Blast with Pacific Island Air on Viator or Tripadvisor for more details.

Denarau Helicopter Flights Over the Mamanuca Islands

The Mamanuca Islands are the closest group of islands to Denarau. They are also some of the best examples of your “paradise-like” tropical islands. Needless to say, they look spectacular with a birds-eye-view. A resort transfer via helicopter will naturally give you sensational views of the island, departing from Denarau. If you want to depart and return to Denarau, go on a flight with a set itinerary with companies such as Heli-Tours Fiji and Pacific Island Air (more info on Viator and Tripadvisor).

Alternatively, Pacific Islands Air offers a “Mystery Helicopter Flight” where flights can last anywhere between 20 minutes to 1h30min, taking you around the Mamanuca Islands as the helicopter drops and pick-up people at their resorts. It’s a more affordable helicopter flight over the Mamanuca Islands for the adventurous traveller.

Helicopter Flights Over Viti Levu

Fly from Denarau to the rugged heart of Viti Levu, Fiji’s main island, as you fly over the Mt Evans Range. See the mountain shaped like a sleeping giant, as well as waterfalls, rainforest and rugged mountain peaks. Flights over the mountains usually last about 20 minutes and you will receive commentary throughout your flight. Book your Viti Levu scenic helicopter tour with Heli-Tours Fiji and Pacific Island Air (on Viator and Tripadvisor).

Nadi Helicopter Tours

As most travellers arrive in Fiji at the Nadi International Airport, the airport is a convenient place to start your helicopter flight in Fiji. First of all, helicopter operators based at Nadi Airport do transfers to island resorts. Second, many scenic helicopter tours also depart from Nadi, with accommodation pick-up included. Scenic tours take passengers over the Mamanuca Islands and inland over Viti Levu.

Nadi Helicopter Flights Over Viti Levu

Fly over the Mt Evans Range from Nadi to discover some of Fiji’s awesome mountain scenery, including waterfalls, towering cliffs and lush rainforest. Flights into the interior of Viti Levu are approximately 25 minutes long and are available as a Scenic Flight with Pacific Island Air (more info on Viator and Tripadvisor) or as a Scenic Tour with Island Hoppers.

Nadi Helicopter Flights Over the Mamanuca Islands

The Mamanuca Islands are less than 10 minutes away by helicopter, yet feel like a world away from the bustling city of Nadi. Either take a 25-minute scenic flight over the islands with Pacific Island Air (on Viator and Tripadvisor) or with Island Hoppers from Nadi Airport. A fun alternative is the “Mystery Flight” which both helicopters offer their own version of.
