How to Get to the Coral Coast

The Coral Coast is located on the southern coast of Viti Levu. The luxury holiday destination is accessible by road about 1-2 hours drive from Nadi International Airport depending on your Coral Coast destination. The most luxurious ways to get to your chose Coral Coast resort is via private transport. Here are some of your best options.

Coral Coast via Private Transfer

Let your personal driver worry about the foreign roads as you kick and watch the breathtaking Coral Coast scenery go by. Your driver will be waiting for you on arrival at the Nadi International Airport, ready to whisk you straight to the doorstep of your luxury resort. See our transfer recommendations in the Coral Coast Transport Guide.

Coral Coast via Resort Shuttles

Limited resorts offer private airport transfer services at a cost. They work similarly to a private transfer (see above). See which resorts offer this service in our Coral Coast Transport Guide.

Renting a Car for the Coral Coast

With so much to explore along the Coral Coast (check out our 10 Things to Do on the Coral Coast), you might want to consider renting your own luxury vehicle. Car rental depots are located in Nadi, many at Nadi Airport, as well as in Korotogo and at certain resorts along the Coral Coast. See brands like Europcar for luxury rental vehicles in their Prestige range. Hertz has modern Jeep Compass and Ford Rangers. Luxury Services in the Coral Coast Resorts

The magic of a five-star holiday involves all those extra services that make enjoying “Fiji time” all the easier. Here are just some examples of what the luxury resorts of the Coral Coast have to offer.

Adult-Only Areas

For couples, honeymooners, solo travellers on a timeout or even parents who want some alone time, there’s no better place to find peace and serenity than the adult-only areas of your luxury resort. Adult-only areas usually consist of an adults pool and perhaps a bar or restaurant. For instance, the Reef Wing of the Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort is the quiet corner of the resort with an adults infinity pool. At the Outrigger Resort, the adult guests have the chance to enjoy tapas and a swim-up bar in the Vahavu Pool and Bar. The View Fiji itself is an adult-only resort with only four private villas! Find out more about the adult-only services of the Coral Coast’s luxury resorts in our Adult Only Guide to the Coral Coast.

Kids’ Clubs

We all know that a holiday with kids doesn’t always feel like a holiday – for the parents or the little ones. Make it a holiday to remember with the Coral Coast’s fantastic kids’ clubs! Fijians adore children, so the kids will have a blast getting into the cultural crafts and games of your luxury resort’s kids clubs. Find out more about what the kids’ clubs have to offer in our 7 Best Kids’ Clubs on the Coral Coast.

Weddings and Honeymoons

Celebrate the big day in paradise at one of the luxury resort wedding venues of the Coral Coast. A barefoot beach wedding is a staple of the Coral Coast, but fiances have more stunning venues from day spas to wedding chapels to choose from. The luxury resorts offer a wide range of weddings packages, as well as honeymoon packages usually including private dinners, a couples massage and nights in the honeymoon suite. Plan your wedding or honeymoon with our Guide to Weddings & Honeymoons on the Coral Coast.

Luxury Activities on the Coral Coast

True luxury in Fiji is experienced in the paradise tropical landscapes, warm temperatures and warm hospitality, but in-between days of pure relaxation, there are some spectacular luxury experiences to be had. Here are just some ideas.

Luxury Water Activities

See how Fiji earned its reputation for being the “soft coral capital of the world” with a scuba diving trip on the Coral Coast. Resorts like The Warwick Fiji have their own dive centre offering PADI-associated lessons and excursions to the Beqa Lagoon marine reserve. There’s even the opportunity to dive with sharks! Another incredible dive resort is the InterContinental Resort with no fewer than 15 dive sites all within a five-minute boat trip from the resort!

An exciting adventure awaits on the water of the Coral Coast with some of the world’s most-rewarding game fish waiting to be caught. Join the team from The View on a fishing charter to try your luck at tackling mahimahi, yellowfin tuna, giant trevally and much more! The InterContinental Resort also offers sports fishing in their expansive menu of water activities. For a full day out on the water, join Sigatoka Fishing Charters and their expert guides on a private fishing charter. Hotel transfers are included. Book your trip on Viator and Tripadvisor. Plus, get more advice in The Complete Guide to Fishing in Fiji.

Luxury Land Activities

One of the most tranquil and divine amenities of your luxury resort is the resort day spa. Enjoy the open-air balconies overlooking the Coral Coast from the Bebe Spa of the Outrigger Resort, with hydrotherapy tubs and “Showers in the Sky”.  Alternatively, Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort‘s CHI, The Spa mixes Asian treatments with natural Fijian spa products. Find out more about spa experiences in our 9 Best Day Spas on the Coral Coast.

The only downside to playing golf on the Coral Coast is that the breathtaking coastal views are too distracting. Otherwise, guests at luxury resorts have access to world-class golf courses, such as the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course at the InterContinental Fiji Resort. The 18-hole course hosts national and international championships and is sure to give any keen golfer a challenge. Other options include the 9-hole course at the Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and a golf training facility at the Outrigger Resort.

Luxury Dining on the Coral Coast

Indulge in South Pacific cuisine and educate your palette at one of the Coral Coast’s luxury dining venues. While Fiji is more renowned for its casual “island-style” dining, you can still find fine dining hidden gems along the Coral Coast to celebrate a special occasion or “just because”.

Fine Dining on the Coral Coast

The Ivi Restaurant at the Outrigger Resort is an adult-only fine dining establishment serving impeccably presented Pacific Continental cuisine. Another delectable choice is the Navo Specialty-Dining Restaurant of the InterContinental Resort. Overlooking a lagoon and Navo Island, Navo Restaurant has a glass-walled kitchen to watch fine dining creations being prepared right before your eyes.

Private Dining Experiences on the Coral Coast

Treat that special someone to a luxurious private dinner. The Warwick Fiji has an impressive setup at their Lagoon “Romantic” Bure under a cosy gazebo on its own island. Either dine under the stars or enjoy breakfast for two as the sunrises. In the comfort of your luxury villa, you’re going to want to make use of the room service at The View. Finally, the InterContinental Resort offers private dining experiences at the poolside or in a private cabana.
