The Best Day Trip from Suva for Budget Travellers
Travel time by car: 35 mins one way
A lesser-known waterfall day trip from Suva is the Wainadoi Waterfall. In Wainadoi along the Queens Road, take the righthand turnoff after the bridge and follow the road for about 2.5 km (1.5 mi) all the way to the river to a small waterfall and swimming hole.
A villager is usually available at the car park to collect a small fee (payment is accepted in cash). The village is also renowned for its cassava and served as a filming location for the movie “Anaconda.” Additionally, the village is known as the “village of the prawns.” Also in the area is the high-wire obstacle course of Kila Eco Adventure Park.
