Our Selection of the Best 1-Week Itineraries for Fiji

Is spending one week in the same resort really not your style? Want to make the most of your time in Fiji seeing a few different islands? We have just the list of one-week Fiji itineraries for you! Whether you’re travelling with children, on a romantic honeymoon, on a budget, seeking luxury or something else, you’re bound to find something to suit your travel style in this list of the best Fiji itineraries for 1 week.

Destinations Visited in Our Fiji Itineraries for 7 Days

With 333 islands, choosing a destination in Fiji can be pretty overwhelming. So let’s break it down to the main destinations mentioned in the one-week itineraries listed below.

Viti Levu

This is Fiji’s largest and main island where most arrive in Fiji via Nadi International Airport. Some of the itineraries below visit several destinations around Viti Levu, all of which are located on the coast and are accessible by road. These Viti Levu destinations include Nadi, Denarau, the Coral Coast, Pacific Harbour, Suva and the Suncoast (Rakiraki).

Mamanuca Islands and Yasawa Islands

These two island groups are among some of the easiest island groups to reach from Nadi, with a developed tourism scene yet the islands themselves are still remarkably undeveloped. The island groups hold a mix of volcanic islands and small uninhabited coral islands. Read further in The Complete Guide to the Mamanuca Islands and The Complete Guide to the Yasawa Islands.

Vanua Levu

This is Fiji’s second-largest island located in the northern region of Fiji, about a 1h25min flight from Nadi International Airport. There are two main towns on the island, while the rest of the landscape is made up of small villages, remote resorts, copra and sugar cane plantations, and tropical forest. Find out more about the island in The Complete Guide to Vanua Levu.

Taveuni

Off the southeastern shores of Vanua Levu, Taveuni earns its nickname as the “Garden Island” thanks to its abundance of nature. Around 80% of the island is made up of the Bouma National Heritage Park, while marine reserves and top scuba diving locations are found off its coast. Find out more about Taveuni in The Complete Guide to Taveuni.

Fiji Budget & Backpacking Itinerary for 1 Week

Fiji has a reputation for being an expensive destination to travel but that’s certainly not the case when there’s both budget accommodation and free/cheap activities found across the islands.

For a one-week budget trip to Fiji, we recommend exploring Fiji’s main island, Viti Levu, to eliminate the associated costs of overwater travel. What’s more, Viti Levu has a huge range of experiences for backpackers and budget travellers: from urban to nature, mountains to sea, off-shore islands to inland river excursions, and the list goes on.

See our complete one-week budget itinerary in Fiji Budget & Backpacking Itinerary: 7 Days. Otherwise, check out this quick overview:
