How to Get Around Fiji in 7 Days
The 7-day honeymoon and romance itinerary below involves a little road travel but mostly overwater travel. Here is a quick rundown of how to get around Fiji.
Interisland Transport in Fiji
The majority of this 7-day itinerary involves island-hopping in the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands. While the fast catamaran ferries provide a more affordable option to get between islands and Port Denarau, water taxis provide a more private experience that may be appealing for a special occasion like a honeymoon. Check out the 5 Ways to Get to the Mamanuca Islands for more information. To get back from the Yasawa Islands, we recommend a helicopter/seaplane transfer for a special honeymoon experience. Find out more in the 5 Ways to Get to the Yasawa Islands.
Road Transport in Fiji
The first day of this itinerary will require you to take road transport to Denarau Island from Nadi International Airport. This can be done by taxi, private resort transfers and even the bus. Find out more in the 5 Ways to Get to Denarau Island.
For all of your transport options across the islands, not limited to the most appropriate for couples, check out the Fiji Transport Guide: 20 Best Ways to Get Around Fiji.

Day 1 – Nadi International Airport to Denarau Island

Welcome to Fiji! Before you start your week of island-hopping, we recommend getting over your flight at one of the fabulous five-star resorts on Denarau Island. Each resort is connected by a walkway or the hop-on hop-off “Bula Bus”, making resort-hopping fun. You could also relax by the pool, perhaps treat yourself to a couples’ massage, and more following our recommendations below!

The Mamanuca Islands is a group of 20-something islands scattered across turquoise waters. Each island is small, with an interior of swaying coconut palms or an ancient volcanic peak.
