The Best Bars in Port Denarau

Port Denarau is where you’ll find a wide selection of casual bars to relax in the late afternoon Fiji sun until 10 pm to 11 pm. The nightlife in Port Denarau has a laidback and social atmosphere where you can find people from all over the world drinking at bars and restaurants. However, you will not find your wild party nights here (check The Ultimate Guide to Nightlife in Nadi for more of that vibe).

Port Denarau Marina Bars

Bonefish Seafood Restaurant offers waterfront seating and unique cocktails that are sure to impress. Don’t miss the interactive Shark Attack drink, where you get to play mixologist and create your own concoction. For something truly special, try The Long Journey – a unique egg white and maple syrup mixture that comes with its own name card (you’ve got to experience it to believe it).

At Indigo, you’ll find a surprisingly good drink selection for an Indian restaurant. We love the Indigo Spice, a spiced gin cocktail that captures the aromatic essence of India. This flavourful drink pairs perfectly with the restaurant’s authentic Indian cuisine, enhancing your dining experience.

The sports bar and family-friendly Cantina Bar & Grill is known for its affordable yet quality cocktails. Try their signature Kavarita, a unique cocktail that combines kava and tequila, paying homage to both Fijian and Mexican cultures. With its great-value drinks and lively atmosphere, it’s no wonder this spot is popular among locals and tourists alike.

Alternatively, other bars like Cardo’s Steakhouse & Cocktail Bar and Lulu’s Bar Restaurant & Cafe often host live music nights to go along with their ocean views. Both bars have extensive drinks menus with international wines and beer, as well as creative cocktails.

Rum delights await at the Denarau Golf & Racquet Club at The Rum Co. of Fiji‘s store, where tastings are encouraged! Try a fun array of flavours, including white chocolate, coffee, coconut, banana and much more!

The Best Island Day Trips with Bars

Fiji’s nightlife is sometimes best experienced in the day, especially when it takes you to sunny tropical islands with their very own bar! Island excursions are a great way to experience some of Fiji’s most unique bars, even if you can only experience them through the day.

Cloud 9 Floating Bar

Set above a stunning coral reef in the Mamanuca Islands, Cloud 9 floating bar is a spectacular place to spend the day. It’s a beautiful location to relax with friends or your partner, whether it’s on the sun loungers with a drink or woodfired pizza in hand or out on the water snorkelling above a glorious coral reef. Boat trips to Cloud 9 depart from Port Denarau regularly, and tickets include a bar tab.

Seventh Heaven Floating Bar

What’s that? Another floating bar?! Seventh Heaven takes the concept of a beach bar to new heights (or should we say, depths?). As you approach by boat, the thumping beats and lively atmosphere will have you itching to join the party. Once aboard, you’ll find yourself spoilt for choice with an array of tropical cocktails, beers, and wines. With a sprawling 550 square metres of space, there’s plenty of room to lounge, dine, or dance the day away. And if you’re feeling adventurous, why not try your hand at the afternoon limbo competition? Just remember, what happens at Seventh Heaven, stays at Seventh Heaven!

Malamala Beach Club

Be whisked away to the private island at the Malamala Beach Club. The island has many amazing facilities for a day of fun or relaxation, including an infinity pool and free access to snorkeling gear, stand-up paddleboards and kayaks. Most importantly, the beach club has a bar – a place you’ll want to hang out with friends all day or have a romantic dinner. The island bar serves imported wines, beers, handcrafted tropical cocktails (try the insane Corona cocktail) as well as delectable sharing platters. Trips to the island are available with South Sea Cruises.
