How to Geft to the Pacific Harbour and Beqa

So where is this little corner of adventure paradise? The Pacific Harbour is located on the southeast coast of Fiji’s main island, Viti Levu, about a 2h30min drive from Nadi International Airport and a 1-hour drive from Fiji’s capital, Suva. For the Pacific Harbour islands, such as Beqa Island and Royal Davui Island, boat or air transport is available.

Pacific Harbour by Private Transfer

Private transfers offer a comfortable and luxurious way to get to the Pacific Harbour from Nadi International Airport. Your driver will be waiting at the airport for you ready to take you to the doorstep of your chosen Pacific Harbour resort, stopping by shops and services along the way if you choose. Check out private transfer recommendations in the Pacific Harbour Transport Guide.

Luxury Car Rental

With so much to explore on the Pacific Harbour and the nearby Suva and Coral Coast, you might want to consider renting your own luxury vehicle. Car rental depots are located in Nadi and around Nadi Airport. Brands like Europcar have luxury rental vehicles in their Prestige range, while Hertz has modern Jeep Compasses and Ford Rangers. See The Best Car Rentals in Fiji for a full comparison of car rental companies.

Resort Road/Boat Transfers to Beqa Island

If you are staying on one of the Beqa Island or Royal Davui resorts, then you have a couple of options to get to the islands from the Pacific Harbour. The easiest way (via road) is through a resort road and boat transfer, which is organised with your resort. See which resorts offer this service in the Pacific Harbour Transport Guide.

Flights to Royal Davui Island

Get to the Royal Davui Island Resort with ease by taking a helicopter flight or a seaplane flight from Nadi International Airport. Transport can be organised with the resort.

For more options, see our 7 Ways to Get to the Pacific Harbour & Beqa.

Luxury Services in the Pacific Harbour Resorts

The magic of a five-star holiday on the Pacific Harbour is finding those extra services to make your “Fiji time” exactly as you imagined it. Here are some examples of what the luxury resorts in this stunning corner of Fiji have to offer.

Adult-Only Luxury

Those seeking peace and tranquillity during their Fiji escape will find it in the private experiences and adult-only areas of the Pacific Harbour’s luxury resorts. The Royal Davui Island Resort is an adult-only resort exclusive to guests over the age of 16. Nanuku Auberge Resort offers a wealth of private activities, from fishing charters to private island cruises, as well as several private dining options. Finally, the Lalati Resort & Spa on Beqa Island offers private dinners for couples and a private lagoon cruise. Find out more in our The Adult Only Guide to Pacific Harbour & Beqa.

Kids’ Clubs

Compared to the Pacific Harbour’s neighbour, the Coral Coast, the number of resorts offering kids’ clubs is minimal. Your only option is at the Nanuku Auberge Resort with an action-packed agenda at the Lailai Children’s Club. The kids’ club offers cultural and educational activities like warrior drumming and sandcastle-building competitions. Nanny services are also available with every child under the age of six years having a dedicated nanny. Check out our Guide to the Pacific Harbour & Beqa for Families for more information.

Weddings and Honeymoons

A special occasion deserves a special destination and the Pacific Harbour and Beqa Island is, in our opinion, an obvious go-to. All the luxury resorts in the area offer magnificent venues for your special day, wedding packages and exclusive and romantic experiences. Have a barefoot beachfront wedding on Beqa Island, say “I do” in a sophisticated island wedding chapel, connect with a “Castaway Experience” on your own private island for the day, and much more at the luxury resorts of the Pacific Harbour. See our Wedding & Honeymoon Guide to the Pacific Harbour & Beqa for more details.

Luxury Activities on the Pacific Harbour and Beqa

While many of us want to spend our Fiji time relaxing and unwinding from the stresses of everyday life, there are a few special experiences worth getting out of the hammock for.

Luxury Water Activities

Adventurous types will discover a whole new world in the famous Beqa Lagoon. Just off the shores of Beqa Island and the Pacific Harbour is one of the world’s largest barrier reefs containing miles of soft and hard coral and a vivid habitat for marine life. See it for yourself on a snorkelling or scuba diving tour – something on the agenda of most luxury resorts in the area. Otherwise, organise a snorkelling trip yourself with Sea Fiji Reefs with snorkel gear, guide and refreshments included (more info on Viator and Tripadvisor). Or kick it up a notch with a two-tank soft coral reef dive or a shark dive with Aqua Trek (on Viator and Tripadvisor).

Those staying on the mainland shores can still experience the magic of Beqa Island on the self-drive jet ski safari. Jump on one of the Yamaha VX700 jet skis with Jet Ski Safari and follow your guide across the breathtaking Beqa Lagoon to your first landing on Beqa Island. You’ll continue around Beqa Island to a stunning snorkelling spot before stopping off for a picnic lunch on the island.

Keen anglers will find their next challenge on the waters of Beqa with a wealth of game fish to tackle. Skipjack tuna, Spanish mackerel, wahoo and yellowfin tuna can all be caught on game fishing charters available at all the luxury resorts. You can even take it one step further with spearfishing at the Nanuku Auberge Resort. Alternatively, try a more relaxed fishing technique with native handline fishing or on the boat with trolling, a.k.a. “Champagne fishing”. Get more advice in The Complete Guide to Fishing in Fiji.

Luxury Land Activities

We’re not going to hesitate to tell you about the divine spas available on the Pacific Harbour and Beqa. Enjoy a treetop treatment on a platform suspended in a dilo tree at the Nanuku Auberge Resort, feel the island breeze in the open-air treatment bure of the Beqa Lagoon Resort, or indulge in a botanical body wrap at the secluded spa of The Pearl Resort. See more recommendations in our 6 Best Day Spas on the Pacific Harbour & Beqa.

The Pacific Harbour is home to one of Fiji’s most prestigious golf courses, The Pearl Golf & Country Club. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr, this 18-hole par-72 course is an adventurous course with tropical tree-lined fairways, water obstacles and more. At the end of your game, relax with gourmet cuisine at the Clubhouse or cool off in the outdoor swimming pool. Find out more in The Complete Guide to Golf in Fiji.

This one mixes a bit of land and water activities, but it’s still an experience well worth treating yourself to. Enjoy a “Secret Island Trip” with Beqa Lagoon Resort where you’ll cruise to a beautiful atoll surrounded by vibrant blue waters and stunning snorkelling opportunities. The island itself only appear for a few hours each day. The Nanuku Resort offers private island trips either during the day, for guided snorkelling, paddleboarding and fishing, or at sunset with a barbecue dinner and sleeping under the stars in your own safari tent.

Luxury Dining on the Pacific Harbour

Each day in paradise ends with delectable cuisine here on the Pacific Harbour. With a lagoon full of fresh fish just off the shores, you can be sure you’ll be indulging in fine seafood at one of the fine dining establishments on the Pacific Harbour. For an alternative luxury experience, treat yourself to a private dining experience. How does a picnic on a secluded beach sound?

Fine Dining on the Pacific Harbour and Beqa

Indulge in fine food impeccably presented at one of the Pacific Harbour’s fine dining restaurants. The Seduce restaurant at The Pearl Resort offers Fijian-influenced cuisine on the waterfront in a contemporary-meets-classic venue with an illuminated bar and chandeliers. Alternatively, the elegant and romantic Kanavata Restaurant & Lounge at the Nanuku Auberge Resort specialises in Pacific Rim cuisine with fresh seafood caught in the Beqa Lagoon.

Private Dining on the Pacific Harbour and Beqa

For a special occasion or “just because” treat your loved one to a private dining experience at one of the luxury resorts of the Pacific Harbour. The Nanuku Auberge Resort spoils guests with choice when it comes to private dining: dining on a cliffside perch, a sunset dinner followed by a movie on the 12ft outdoor cinema screen, destination dining on a white-sand beach, in-residence dining, treetop dining, private island dining and whatever other surprises they can come up with.

Alternatively, escape the world with a private beach picnic to a secluded beach only accessible by boat with the Lalati Resort or have dinner with a view on one of the private decks of the Royal Davui Island Resort. Of course, in-room dining is always an option for more privacy.
