1. Walk in the Forest at the Garden of the Sleeping Giant
A must-do for any type of traveller in Nadi is visiting the Garden of the Sleeping Giant. Affordable, not too time-consuming but a pleasant outing, the Garden of the Sleeping Giant is Fiji’s largest collection of orchids. The garden includes a 20-minute loop walk in tropical rainforest. Find it in the Sabeto foothills just a short drive from Nadi. It’s one of our 10 Free & Cheap Things to Do in Nadi.
2. Take a Scenic Flight Over the Islands
An extra special way to spend some time in Nadi is in the air on a scenic helicopter flight. Departing from Nadi Airport or Denarau Marina, with accommodation pick-up included, the scenic flight will allow you to see the stunning islands of Fiji from the most marvellous aerial perspective. There is a range of scenic flights available with Pacific Island Air. Check out more activities like this one in our 10 Luxury Activities in Nadi.
3. Zipline Through Nadi’s Rainforests
Fun for all the family, ziplining is the way to experience the adventurous side of Nadi. Nadi’s largest market is the Nadi Market, which is located on Market Road just behind the bus station in central Nadi. Alternatively, visit the more relaxed Namaka Food Market along the Queens Road. 7. Get Muddy at the Sabeto Hot Springs
Suitable for families, couples and travellers on a budget, the Sabeto Mud Pools are a great way to experience some Fiji time pampering in a unique way. The locally-run attraction also has souvenirs, massage parlour and meals prepared by the local villagers.
8. Scuba Dive or Snorkel at the Coral Reefs
In the “soft coral capital of the world” it would be a shame to miss out on some snorkelling and scuba diving in Fiji. There are plenty of snorkelling trips departing from Nadi’s beachfront resorts, suitable for experienced to newbie scuba divers. Lessons are available for children aged 10 years over.
9. Take a Fijian Cooking Class
Appeal to your foodie side and engage with the local culture in a Fijian cooking class. You have a couple of great options around Nadi. Join a tour like the Great Taste of Fiji Sightseeing Adventure and discover the remote village of Navilawa in Koroyanitu National Heritage Park. The tour includes access to scenic walking trails, as well as a Fijian cooking lesson and hotel-pick-up.
