Fiji Airports: Where to Fly to?
All getaways to Fiji start with booking a flight, but where should you book a flight to? We’ll go over some advice in this guide to which airport to arrive in Fiji!
There are two international airports in Fiji, taking in arrivals from New Zealand, Australia, Korea and many of the South Pacific Islands. You might decide on which airport to arrive in in Fiji depending on which destination you’re coming from, as well as which arrival island sounds like the best destination to you. This guide will outline which airports you can arrive in from various destinations.
Spoiler alert: Nadi International Airport receives 97% of Fiji’s international flights, so chances are, you might want to fly there.

Arriving from Australia
Some of the most frequent flights available to Fiji from overseas is from Australia with regular flights from Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne. These flights only land in Fiji’s main international airport, Nadi International Airport.
Nadi International Airport
Flights from Australia land at Nadi International Airport, which is Fiji’s busiest airport with frequent flights to other islands in Fiji, as well as to New Zealand, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Nauru, the Solomon Islands and other South Pacific Islands. Arriving from New Zealand

Nadi International Airport
Flights from New Zealand land at Nadi International Airport, which has frequent flights to Fiji’s outer islands and across Viti Levu to Suva. The airport is 15km (9 miles) from Port Denarau, where travellers can also connect to ferry services to the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands. Alternatively, resorts in Nadi are a short drive from the airport, while the popular Coral Coast is approximately 55km (34 miles) away.
Arriving from the South Pacific Islands
Fiji is one of the main travel hubs of the South Pacific, especially with Nadi International Airport accepting flights from the Solomon Islands, New Caledonia, Nauru, Tonga, Samoa, Hawaii, Kiribati, Wallis & Futuna, Tuvalu and Vanuatu. Accepting South Pacific flights is also where Fiji’s other international airport, Nausori International Airport, comes in with flights from Tonga and Tuvalu.
Nadi International Airport
Most flights from the South Pacific Islands that come to Fiji land at Nadi International Airport, which also has connecting flights to other islands in Fiji, as well as international flights to New Zealand, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Nauru, Tonga, Samoa, Hawaii, Kiribati, Wallis & Futuna, Tuvalu and the Solomon Islands. Nausori International Airport
Flights from Nuku’alofa and Funafuti land in Nausori International Airport on Fiji’s mainland, 22km (13 miles) from Fiji’s capital, Suva. Flights from Nausori Airport connect to Nadi and many of the other islands in Fiji, while ferry transport to the outer islands is also available in Suva. Arriving from Asia
Korean Air operates flights between Nadi International Airport and Seoul in Korea, every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, taking approximately nine hours.

Arriving from the USA
Fiji Airways operates direct flights between Los Angeles and Nadi International Airport, as well as from Honolulu, Hawaii. The Los Angeles – Nadi flight takes approximately 11h30mins.

Arriving from Elsewhere…
Those travelling from elsewhere in the world will need to get a connecting flight from either New Zealand, Australia, Korea or Hawaii.
Auckland Airport (New Zealand), Sydney Airport (Australia) and Incheon Airport (South Korea) are the best-connected airports to other international destinations, generally making them the best option if you need to do a stopover. Hawaii is the next best option for connecting between Fiji and the USA.
