How to Get Around Fiji in 5 Days

This 5-day itinerary below involves both land and overwater travel. Here is a quick rundown of how to get around Fiji on a 5-day adult-only getaway.

Road Transport in Fiji

This 5-day island-hopping itinerary has minimal road transfers. You’ll need to get between Nadi International Airport and Port Denarau, where transfers are often included in the catamaran ferry and water taxi transport (see below).

Regardless, there are more ways to get to Port Denarau, which you can investigate in the 5 Ways to Get to Denarau Island.

Overwater Transport in Fiji

This 5-day itinerary incorporates transport by catamaran ferry from Port Denarau. However, a more appropriate option for keeping your trip exclusively “adults only” could be taking a water taxi between the islands.

See the 5 Ways to Get to the Mamanuca Islands for more details. For returning from the Yasawa Islands, we recommend in this itinerary to treat yourself to a helicopter or seaplane experience, ideal for an intimate adults-only holiday.

See the 5 Ways to Get to the Yasawa Islands for more information and alternatives.

Alternatively, you can experience this itinerary on the adults-only Blue Lagoon Cruises, which explores this region – see Cruises Around Fiji: A Full Small-Ship Cruise Comparison to learn more.
