How to Get Around Fiji in 14 Days
The 14-day itinerary below involves both road and overwater travel. Here is a quick rundown of how to get around Fiji on an adults-only holiday.
Road Transport in Fiji
Three of the islands mentioned on this itinerary have roads: Viti Levu, Vanua Levu and Taveuni. While airport transfers organised by some resorts provide an easy and intimate way to get around, taxis are also an option on these islands.
Interisland Transport in Fiji
This adults-only itinerary for Fiji includes fast catamaran ferries between Viti Levu and the Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands. On the other hand, water taxis provide a more private adults-only experience at a premium rate.
Alternatively, you can experience days 3 to 7 of this itinerary on the adults-only Blue Lagoon Cruises, which explores this region – see Cruises Around Fiji: A Full Small-Ship Cruise Comparison to learn more.
Getting between Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, and Taveuni requires taking a domestic scheduled flight, as well as the option for scenic seaplane/helicopter flights. More details are mentioned on each day of the itinerary where appropriate.
